Applying a wearing course on a concrete floor? We have put together a number of points for attention. These apply in particular to bridge and road surfaces. At the bottom of the article there are other options regarding floor finishes for concrete.<\/p>\n

Key points of attention<\/h2>\n

The main points of attention for applying a wear layer to concrete are:<\/p>\n

  1. Pretreat the substrate by grit blasting, milling, acidification or a combination of these techniques<\/li>\n
  2. Apply HIM Primer wet in wet; otherwise scatter lightly with fire-dried sand<\/li>\n
  3. Moisture level of concrete floor may not exceed 3.5%<\/li>\n
  4. Use a wet coating thickness gauge for even layer thickness<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
