The tunnel, which is known as the oldest submerged tunnel in the Netherlands, is used by about 6,500 cyclists every day. The municipality of Rotterdam therefore&nbsp;has the companies Mobilis and Kreeft Beton Techniek B.V. appointed as contractor and subcontractor for this project, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O3PFmeX7b9U\" width=\"900\" height=\"550\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Strong and solid color coating system<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this project, Himgrip NT is recommended: Our extremely strong, wear-resistant, lightweight wear layer with non-slip properties. The traffic-safe operation, sustainable quality properties and fast, efficient application capability were part of the determining factor in the choice of a wear layer of HIM. In consultation with Cancer concrete renovation and injection techniques, a colored top coating has been applied over Himgrip NT in line with the esthetic wishes of the end customer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large img-fluid w-100\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/www.him.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/maastunnel2-1-1024x470.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2681\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.him.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/maastunnel2-1-1024x470.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.him.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/maastunnel2-1-300x138.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.him.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/maastunnel2-1-768x352.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.him.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/maastunnel2-1.jpg 1081w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Clear advice for a sustainable end result<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the application, HIM instructed the subcontractor from the sidelines with advice on obtaining the best end result. To the great satisfaction of Mobilis and Kreeft Beton Techniek B.V., both of which were very much to talk about the adequate, decisive and rapid way in which HIM managed the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>National monument restored to its former glory<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 3 July 2020, the Maastunnel has been accessible again to the more than 6500 cyclists who use it daily. With the choice of a durable wearing layer system from HIM, the nearly 80-year-old national monument has been restored to its former glory.
