3K scraping layer for use under epoxy and PU floors
A scraping layer is a synthetic layer used to level and make substrates like concrete and sand-cement screed floors liquid-tight. This layer is applied after an epoxy primer and before an epoxy or PU floor. In practice, scraping layers are also directly applied to the substrate and can replace the primer. However, a primer is always recommended when the substrate is highly absorbent.
HIM RAG-N1 and HIM SL1000 are used as a primer/scraping layer under epoxy and PU floors. Both products consist of a mixture of selected epoxy resins, hardeners, and graded inert fillers. They come in three pre-matched components, ready for use. Due to the curing speed, HIM SL1000 is recommended for summer applications, while RAG-N1 is ideal for winter.
Once fully cured, the products are resistant to gasoline, mineral oils and fats, cleaning agents, diluted mineral acids and alkalis, and some hydrocarbons. They offer temperature resistance up to 80°C (air temperature).
