A good workshop floor is liquid-tight. This property makes the floor highly suitable when working with hazardous liquids. By applying the correct topcoat, these substances cannot penetrate the substrate and cause damage.
Floor strength and finish
For a workshop floor, an epoxy resin floor is recommended. This floor is extremely durable and therefore resistant to heavy loads from, for example, heavy machinery and the movement of large objects. A workshop floor can be finished with an anti-slip layer to prevent slips. For (extremely) heavy loads, we recommend trowel floors instead.
A commonly used finish within this system is the FC450. This 2-component epoxy coating forms a thin but very strong, colored finish layer suitable for intensive use, such as in production environments, warehouses, and parking garages. Depending on the build-up, this coating can also be used as an anti-slip layer or sealer.
